Dear Members of ENGINEERS EUROPE!
We are experiencing turbulent, if not threatening times. Europe is challenged in its core, in our values, as well as in our role in the world. New technologies evolve even faster, talent, skills and ressources are short, our economic welfare and growth are being challenged. This in a world, that is struggling hard to work together in a peaceful way. New models need to emerge.
More than enough reasons to further strengthen our network of engineers from 33 member countries in Europe.
The best way to achieve this, is coming together in person to deepen our relations, exchange views and opinions, seek for solutions and thus strengthen the collaboration amongst us.
It is therefore – on behalf of entire Board - my great pleasure to welcome you all to the upcoming National Member Forum 2026 and the General Assembly 2026 of ENGINEERS EUROPE. Time to re-connect, this time in the historical and beautiful City of Málaga, Spain.
My personal and special thanks go to our Spanish colleagues, who have volunteered to welcome us this year.
I am very much looking forward to meet you all again!
Best regards
Ralph Appel
President of ENGINEERS EUROPE
It is an honor for me, as President of the Spanish Institute of Engineering (IIE), a member institution of the CNE, to host and organize the General Assembly of ENGINEERS EUROPE, an essential forum for cooperation and the strengthening of engineering in Europe. Engineering is a fundamental pillar for addressing the major challenges facing our society, and gatherings like this reinforce dialogue, the exchange of knowledge, and the development of a shared vision. From the CNE, and particularly as the IIE, we reaffirm our commitment to excellence, collaboration, and progress in service to Europe and its citizens.
Mary Cruz Díaz.
President of the Institute of Engineering of Spain.

Dear colleagues,
As president of the Spanish Institute of Graduate Engineers and Technical Engineers (INGITE), I cordially invite you to participate in the General Assembly of Engineers of Europe, which will take place on May 21 and 22 in Málaga. This meeting is crucial for discussing and making progress on essential issues for the future of engineering in Europe: the harmonization of qualifications, mutual recognition and professional mobility, and common educational principles that foster a competitive and cohesive profession across the continent.
Their participation is very valuable in building together a more integrated, strong European engineering profession with a social and technological drive.
We hope to see you there.
Dr. Ing. Jose Antonio Galdón Ruiz
President of INGITE
